In addition to our work with 35mm film, Sony F900 series and Panasonic Varicam HD cameras, Aurora Coast has ordered the RED ONE 4K super 35mm digital cinema camera system. This system is ideal for clients who desire the look and feel of 35mm film, but who also want the flexibility and cost benefits that this state of the art digital cinematography tool provides. The RED camera records to either solid state Compact Flash (CF) cards, or to onboard hard drives. A completely tape-less and tether-less workflow is provided with options for 2K and 4K capture in the lossless REDCODE RAW format. From there, we can transcribed the data into any popular codex of your choice, including HDCAM SR, DVCProHD or even HDV and DV or we can have the footage sent for film transfer. These options have never been available before at anywhere near our pricing. Due to high demand for this service, we recommend you book now to ensure availability for your next project.
